The Scheduling System depends on your Internet connection to maintain communication with the Shoshana Application Server. The speed and stability of Internet connections varies widely, ranging from high-speed, always on DSL, cable or even faster down to dial-up modem connections. While the Scheduling System functions best with a stable, fast connection, it is designed to handle the demands of less optimal connections, too. Inexpensive dialup connections often have time limits, and will be disconnected automatically after some period of time. If for some reason your Internet connection is interrupted, the Scheduling System can pick back up where it left off, once the connection is re-established. After such an occurrence, you may not notice that you’ve lost your connection until you begin working on the Scheduling System again. In most cases, you will get a message warning you that you have lost connection. Once you have re-established your Internet connection, simply log in again. |
