Updating Caregivers and Clients

Previous   Top Next

If you have enabled this feature, Caregivers and Clients will be automatically inserted into your telephony database as they are updated in Rosemark. Existing Caregivers and Clients will be updated as changes are made in Rosemark. Note that this is not a two-way synchronization: the intent is that you will manage this information from a single place (Rosemark).

For both Clients and Caregivers, the information passed to the telephony system is Last Name, First Name and Middle Initial, as well as the Client/Caregiver Number. The first of the Clients' phone numbers (phone1) is also put into your telephony database as the Clients' main number.

Client Numbers and Caregiver Numbers

The Caregiver Number and the Client Number are used to maintain the identity between your telephony database and Rosemark. These numbers are the same numbers that Caregivers use to log their calls. Caregivers and Clients will not be included in telephony tracking unless they have a corresponding number.

Rosemark will not allow you to enter a duplicate Client or Caregiver number. This is important because if you were to put in a number that is already in use, that number would now refer to the latest one entered, and the original would no longer be in PATTI. Note that a Caregiver and a Client can have the same number, just not two Caregivers or two Clients

If a Client or Caregiver is deleted and has Telephony events, they will be cleared from those Telephony events. At that point, they will be re-linked, providing there is someone in the system with the right number.

Skipping Clients

You may have some Clients who, for one reason or another, you don't want to be included in the telephony checks. This can happen if you have very remote cases where there is no cell coverage or phone service, for example. If that is the case, you can "exempt" them by simply not having a strictly numeric entry in their Client # field. See the No Show Warnings section to see how to do that.
