If you use Caregivers who are classified as Independent Contractors, these will be treated differently than those who are classified as Employees. Contractors in Rosemark are synchronized with Vendors in QuickBooks. To classify a Caregiver as an Independent Contractor, choose that option on the Caregiver's Hire tab.
Connecting Existing Contractors and Vendors
Rosemark automatically synchronizes the information about Contractors that it has in common with Vendors in QuickBooks. This allows you to make changes once and only once, and still have access to the data in either place. While you are free to make the changes in either system, we recommend that you make changes within Rosemark whenever possible. In the case of conflicting changes being made in both places, the changes in Rosemark will prevail.
A Rosemark Contractor and a corresponding QuickBooks Vendor will be connected if the following criteria are met:
| • | Is an eligible Rosemark contractor or an Active QuickBooks vendor (vendor type may or may not be 'Caregiver') |
| • | Name is identical in both systems (first,middle,last) |
| • | Not previously connected |
Adding Vendors to QuickBooks
When a Contractor exists in Rosemark and there is no corresponding Vendor in QuickBooks, that Vendor will be added to QuickBooks, as long as the following criteria are met:

| • | Name (first,middle,last) not blank |
| • | Name does not match (first, middle, last) an existing QuickBooks Vendor |
| • | Not previously connected |
