Starting the Scheduling System

Previous   Top Next

The first time you install the Rosemark Scheduling System™, it will start right up at the end of installation. The next time you want to start it, you can either use the Start Menu or the desktop icon (a colorful beach ball).

Double-click on the beach ball, or, from the Start Menu, select Shoshana Scheduling System>>Scheduling System.

See the chapter on Installation.

When you start the Scheduling System, you will be greeted with the main Rosemark Scheduling System screen, the central point of control of the system.

The menus across the top give you access to all aspects of the Scheduling System. Before you can begin using the system, though, you must log in, using the Login button (or the Demo button).

Any time you need to get back to the main Rosemark screen, you have a number of choices. You can find it in the Windows Task Bar (the bar that includes the Start button), where it will appear as a tiny calendar. You can use the alt-Tab key combination to scroll through the open applications: look for the little calendar icon and release.

The simplest way to get back to the main Rosemark screen is to use the hotkey combination Ctrl-R. Simply hold the Ctrl key down and tap the letter R. This will work from any screen in the Rosemark system. If it does not work, you may have a different application on top.

Menus

Access to all parts of the system is provided through the menus across the top of the Rosemark screen.

Logging Out

You can either click on the Logout button or close the main Rosemark window in order to logout. When you do, it will close all windows and log you out. To prevent accidentally closing all your windows and logging out, you will be prompted with "Logout and close all Rosemark Scheduling System windows?" when closing the main window (if you are logged in).
