Shift Lists

Previous   Top Next

Shift Lists give you a way of working with groups of Shifts, with direct access to their Shift Forms. The list format allows you to sort the Shifts by Status, Duration, Times, Date, Caregiver or Service. You can also filter the list by changing the settings at the top. In this way, you can make the list as narrow or as broad as you like.

A number of pre-configured Shift Lists are available in the system.

Service Planner Shifts The Shift List button on a Planner gives you all the Shifts during that week, for that Service. This is the same set of Shifts displayed in the Planner; it can be handy for sorting out details of complicated schedules, or when there are cancelled Shifts covered by Assigned Shifts, etc.
Imminent Open Shifts From the Office menu, Imminent Open Shifts brings up a list of all Open Shifts within the next 7 days.
Shifts on a Day From the Office menu, Shifts on a Day… gives you a list of all the Shifts, across all Services and Caregivers, that start on a given day. See the figure below for an example Shift List on a day.
Caregiver Shifts for Week From a Shift Form, you can open the list of all Shifts for that Caregiver for that week. From the Caregiver Form, you can open a list of all Shifts for that Caregiver for the current week.

Modifying Shift Lists

Once you have a Shift List open, you can adjust it to include almost any grouping of Shifts. For example, you could change it to look at all of the RefusedAssignment Shifts for a particular Caregiver in the last 6 months. Or you could look at all ClientCancelled Shifts on a particular Clients Service since they started.

To change the setting of one of the parameters of the Shift List, just click on the down-arrow icon to the right of the field and make your selection.

A very useful example of a modified Shift List can be helpful in the process of verifying Shifts. Let's say you want to see what Shifts have not yet been verified last week. Starting from Shifts on a Day, change the Status to be Assigned and the Date Range to be Last Week. Now you are looking at all the Shifts for last week that are Assigned, rather than Verified.

Further, you could change the Status to be Verified and Assigned. To include more than one Status, click on the down arrow next to Status and select "Selected Statuses...". Holding the Ctrl key down, click on the Statuses you would like to include (in this case, Verified Complete and Assigned) and click OK.

Fixed Shift Lists

Some Shift Lists are considered “fixed”, because they relate to a specific group of Shifts, and cannot be re-configured:

Assignment Gives a list of all Shifts for this Assignment (combination of Caregiver/Service), regardless of date, status, etc.
Selected Shifts Any group of Shifts that you select on a Planner can be opened in their own Shift List.
