Selecting shifts |

|
In order to work on a Shift, you have to select it. Once it is selected, you can change its status or adjust it in other ways. This also applies to groups of Shifts. The Rosemark Scheduling System™ gives you many options for selecting and changing Shifts.
The Basics of Shift Selection To select a Shift, click on it. You can tell that a Shift is selected because the top part of the Shift turns black. Depending on which mouse button you use and what keys on the keyboard are pressed, different things happen. As a basic rule, keep this in mind: left-click to select, right-click to select AND bring up the Shift Menu. For example, to Assign an individual Shift, right-click on it and select “Assign Shift Confirmed”. You can accomplish exactly the same thing by left-clicking on the Shift, then either right-clicking nearby or going up to the Shift menu at the top of the Planner.
The Shift Menu gives you all the choices that are available for the selected Shift(s). For a single Shift, the top line gives a description of the Shift (clicking on this description will open the Shift Form). When multiple Shifts are selected, the top line tells you how many Shifts are selected, as well as a description (which includes the details they have in common). In this case, clicking on the top line brings up a list of all the selected Shifts. There are two ways to get to the Shift Menu.
