Saving and Rejecting Changes: Apply and Revert

Previous   Top Next

As you are entering information onto forms, you are making changes that will become part of your data. The Scheduling System gives you a chance to decide whether to keep the changes you have made or discard them. Any time you are on a form that allows data entry, youll see Apply and Revert buttons.

When you like what you have entered, you can click on Apply. If you have thought better of what you put in and want to back out without making any changes, you can click on the Revert button.

Generally, Rosemark lets you move from window to window at will. However, if you have unsaved changes in a window that is part of a list or has multiple tabs (like a Client form), you must accept or reject your changes before moving on within that list or window. If you try to move to another list entry or tab without saving the changes, the Scheduling System will give you a chance to save them before moving on.

Some fields have specific requirements for what can be put into them. In those cases, the Scheduling System will not make the Apply button available until you have entered something “legal” in the field. For example, when you enter Times for Service, the Scheduling System is quite forgiving about how you enter the times and days, but it must end up being something that actually makes sense as a time pattern. When a time range has the right syntax to be acceptable to the Scheduling System, the Apply button will become active. In this way, the Scheduling System helps you avoid incorrect entries.
