Repeating the Previous Week Schedule |
|
|
Often, the same Caregiver works on the same Service week after week. To facilitate scheduling in these situations, you can use the Repeat Previous Week buttons: Tentative and Confirmed. When you click on one of these buttons, the Scheduling System will do its best to schedule this week the same as the previous week was scheduled, either as Tentatively Assigned or Assigned, respectively. Note that after you have clicked the Tentative button and made all the Shifts Tentatively Assigned, you can still click the Confirmed button to fully Assign them. If there are conflicts, the Scheduling System will go ahead and assign what Shifts can be assigned, and leave those with conflicts Open. For example, if a Caregiver worked a shift last week, but has already been assigned on another Service during that time this week, the affected Shift would be left open. You could then choose to assign it to another Caregiver, or free up the original one and assign them. Even if there are some changes to the schedule between weeks, these buttons can be used to speed up scheduling. If any of the Shift assignments are going to be the same, the Scheduling System will carry those forward for you. For example, you might hit the Tentative button to see what things will fully carry over, make adjustments as needed, then hit the Confirmed button to finish up. Note that the Possibly Available toggle applies to the Repeat buttons just as it does to individual assigning. If you want to schedule more than a week at a time, you can use the Repeat Forward button, described in the Mass Assigning and Unassigning chapter. |
