This section contains quick guides for performing the basic functions of the QuickBooks Connection. Because of the complexities and possible negative consequences of misuse, we strongly suggest thoroughly reading the entire QuickBooks Connection section and discussing the issues with support personnel at Shoshana Technologies (734-662-3537).

 

That said, here are step-by-step guides to using the QuickBooks Connection to streamline your billing and payroll operations. You have many opportunities along the way to stop and reconsider whether you should proceed: pay attention to the prompts and feedback that Rosemark offers to you!

Connect

1.Open your QuickBooks company file in QuickBooks.
2.Create a backup of your company file (from the File menu in QuickBooks), if you have not already done one.
3.Open the QuickBooks Connection window from the Rosemark File menu.
4.Click Connect. (If you have never connected before, read the Initial Connection section first)

Synchronize Employees

1.Click Do Employee Sync.
2.If there are any exceptions, review them carefully and tend to them BEFORE proceeding! In any event, review what the system is about to do by clicking on Details.
3.When you are ready, click Do Employee Adds to execute the changes.

Synchronize Contractors

1.Click Do Contractor Sync.
2.If there are any exceptions, review them carefully and tend to them BEFORE proceeding! In any event, review what the system is about to do by clicking on Details.
3.When you are ready, click Do Contractor Adds to execute the changes.

Synchronize Customers

1.Click Do Customer Sync.
2.If there are any exceptions, review them carefully and tend to them BEFORE proceeding! In any event, review what the system is about to do by clicking on Details.
3.When you are ready, click Do Customer Adds to execute the changes.

 

Export Invoices

1.Click Do Invoice Export
2.If there are exceptions, click the View Exceptions button. Otherwise, you can click View Details.
3.If you are satisfied that you want to export the Invoices, click Do Syncs. This will perform Customer Syncs before exporting Invoices.
4.If there are Customers or Payment Obligations that need syncing, click Do Customer Adds.
5.As always, if there are any exceptions, click View Exceptions. Otherwise, review the Details.
6.When you are ready, click Actually Do Invoice Exports.

Export Shifts

1.Click Do Shift Export
2.Confirm the Date Range for which you want to export shifts.
3.Click Perform Preflight Check.
4.If there are exceptions, click the View Exceptions button.
5.If you are satisfied that you want to export the shifts, click Do Syncs. This will perform Employee and Customer Syncs before exporting shifts.
6.If there are Customers or Payment Obligations that need syncing, click Do Customer Adds.
7.If there are Employees that need syncing, click Do Employee Adds.
8.If there are any exceptions, click View Exceptions.
9.When you are ready, click Actually Do Shift Exports.
