Once you are logged in, it's easy to get to the basic information about your Clients & Caregivers. The top-level tabs stay visible at all times, so you can jump to your list of Active Clients or Active Caregivers quickly. Within each list or detail page, there are buttons and/or links that take you to more information. Just click on the button or link to go to what you want. You can also make certain changes to the schedule, like unassigning, canceling or re-assigning shifts. See the section on Schedule Changes to get more information about how to do that. As an example, we'll look at the Clients, but this works the same for Caregivers as well. Click on the Clients tab to go to the Client list.
Figure 147: Web App Client list Each Client's name is a link to their details page. To the right of each name is a link to two different views of their schedule: planner and shifts. Just click on the link to get to the details. Note that, depending on which browser you are using and what your browser settings are, your links may look somewhat different than these pictures. If you aren't sure, just put your mouse over various elements of the page: if it is a link, your mouse pointer will usually change shape. Buttons will usually change color when your mouse is over them. On the Client Details page, you have the Client's name, Client #, Status, list of Services, Comment, Address & Phone and Email information, plus the Client's emergency contact information. There are also buttons to get to the Client's planner and shifts list, and a Map button to bring up a map of the Client's address location.
Figure 148: Web App Client details The Caregiver details page is almost identical. Instead of the list of Services, there is the Caregiver's Availability & Status, the Service Types they work and a list of Assignments (which are, themselves, links to those Clients), and there is no emergency contact information.
Viewing the Schedule You can view any Client or Caregiver's schedule by clicking on the Planner or Shifts link on the list or on their Details page. Here is an example of a Client's planner. The shifts in the Web App Planner use the same color-coding as the Planner in the Windows App. Note that you can change the date range to show you whatever part of the schedule you want. You can also click on any Shift to see a detailed view and edit the shift. There are links at the bottom that give you a Shifts list view and the Client details as well.
Figure 149: A Client's planner view on the Web App Shifts List Another view of the schedule makes use of a Shifts list. This is especially useful when viewing the schedule on a very small screen (like a cellphone) because all the information about each shift is condensed and contained in a single location. The planner view, on the other hand, requires that you see various parts of the table to see the names, dates and details of any given shift. This may require a fair amount of scrolling on a small screen.

To see the full detail available for an individual Shift, click on the link that describes the shift (e.g. "V - 3.5h 06/07/2010"). The detailed Shift form gives you even more information about the shift, including login and logout times, comments and links back to related things.
Figure 151: A Shift detail view Rosemark's Web App allows you to handle many common scheduling tasks directly. You can edit the shift status, split the shift, change the shift times, and even add comments to the shift. All of these are accomplished starting from the Shift Detail screen. To unassign a shift, just click on the Unassign button. This will immediately open the shift and leave it ready to assign to another Caregiver. To do other schedule changes, like canceling, marking as verified or assigned , click on the Edit Shift button. For changes like splitting or marking shifts as tardy or did not finish, use the Other Changes drop-down menu.
When you unassign a Shift, you are left at the resulting Open Shift.
Figure 152: After unassigning, you are left with an Open shift that needs assigning Here you can hit the Find Available button to bring up a list of Caregivers to assign. Initially this shows only those who are fully available.
Expanding your search You can expand your search by clicking any of the three check boxes for Has Availability, Has Skills and Works Service Type. Just clear a checkbox to have Rosemark ignore that criteria when searching. Caregivers lacking something have an Assign Anyway button which confirms (showing the missing criteria) before assigning.

Canceling or Splitting a Shift When you want to cancel a shift, click on the Edit button. This tuns the Status area into a drop-down menu that gives you options to cancel the shift.
Figure 156: Editing a Shift to mark it as Employee Canceled Once you have canceled a shift, you will be left in that canceled shift. From there, you can decide to further edit it (change its status) or go to the corresponding Open shift in order to find another caregiver to fill it.
