Logging in to your database |

In order to work on your “live” data, you need to connect to your working database, using the login information supplied to you by Shoshana Technologies. If you aren’t sure of this information, call Shoshana Technologies at 734-662-3537. To login, click on the Login button. The following login screen will appear:
Figure 4: Login screen Three fields are normally already filled in, as they are common to most customers, in most situations: Server, Data Source and Database. The rest are specific to your agency, and require the information that was issued to you when you signed up. The fields should be filled in as follows: Server: app.shoshana.com Data Source: shoshana Account Number: [4 digit number issued on signing up] Database: main User Name: [name that goes with your password, issued on signing up] Password: [issued by Shoshana Technologies] Click on OK. The system will connect with the application server and log you into your database. When you are fully connected, you will get a message indicating that you are “Logged in Multi-User”. Click OK, and you’re in! Notice that there is a status bar at the bottom of the Scheduling System’s main screen. This shows whether you are logged in or not. If you are logged in, it shows the name of the database that you are logged into. This is especially helpful for distinguishing at a glance whether you are on your “live” data or on the Demo database. Once you have successfully logged in once, the system will remember the Account Number and Database, so all you have to fill in is the User Name and the Password. If you like, you can check the Remember User Name box; then all you’ll have to fill in is the Password. For security purposes, the system will not remember the Password, and there is no way for a hacker to extract the Password from your computer.
