In order for Rosemark to work with QuickBooks Online, it must login to your QBOE account. QBOE allows other programs (like Rosemark) to connect by using a Session Ticket. This is essentially a single-use password, provided at the time you want to connect. Each time you connect the two, a new Session Ticket must be acquired and pasted into the right place. Here is a step-by-step guide to making the connection.
Note: If this is the first time you are connecting, see the Setting up the Initial Connection section first. To connect, click on the Connect button on the QuickBooks Connection page. This opens the Need Session Ticket dialog box.
Figure 191: Need a Session Ticket to connect From here, click on the Login to QuickBooks button. This will open a browser and take you to the login page for your QuickBooks Online account. Put in your username and password.

When you are successfully logged in to QuickBooks Online, it will open a Login Security window and give you a session ID number.

Either select it and copy it, or click the Copy to Clipboard button. Then, switch back to the Need Session Ticket window and paste your Session Ticket in by clicking on the box next to Paste Session Ticket, right-clicking and choosing Paste from the menu (you can also use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl-V"). Once the number is there, click OK. At that point, you should see that you are connected in the QuickBooks Connection window.

If that happens, simply disconnect and reconnect on the QuickBooks Connection window. Setting up the Initial Connection QuickBooks Connector Installation In order to connect to QuickBooks, you must first download the additional QuickBooks programs that provide the additional connection functionality. For the QuickBooks Online Edition, you need both the QuickBooks Connection Installer and the QuickBooks Online Edition Connector. You can do these by going to the Downloads page on the Shoshana Technologies website. Download both files (toward the bottom of the page). Once you have downloaded the files, run them to install the programs. Here are direct links to the QuickBooks Connection Installer and the QuickBooks Online Edition Connector. QuickBooks Online Connection The first time you connect Rosemark with the QuickBooks Online Edition, you will have to create a connection. After clicking on the Connect button on the QuickBooks Connection page, you will be presented with the following dialog box:
Figure 195: Setting up the initial connection with QBOE Click on Set up connection!. It will take you to Internet Explorer, where you can login to your QuickBooks Online account. On logging in successfully, it will present a page with a connection ticket. Copy that number (either by selecting it, right-clicking and choosing "Copy" or clicking on the Copy to Clipboard button). Go back to the Connection dialog box and paste it into the box (either by right-clicking on the box and choosing "Paste" or by clicking in the box and typing ctrl-v). Click OK. It will then take you on to the regular login process. This should only have to be done one time. The connection will remain in your QuickBooks Online account unless you delete it.
