Once you have selected the file, a preview of it will show in the box below, with a dotted box that shows the area that will be displayed in the thumbnail on the Caregiver's page. You can move the box around by clicking and dragging anywhere within the box. You can crop and resize the thumbnail by clicking and dragging the little double-arrow that comes up when you put the mouse pointer over the edge of the box.

You also have the options of changing the name of the file and add a description. These will show up in the uploaded file management lists.

Replacing and Working with the picture

To zoom in and see the thumbnail bigger, just click on it.

To view the original (non-cropped, full resolution), The original will pop right up so you can get a better look.

To do other things with the picture, right-click on the picture to bring up the picture menu and select the action you want to take. To view the original picture that you uploaded, click View Full-Size. To download it (save it locally), choose Download Full-Size.

Choosing Delete will delete the thumbnail and you'll be left with the general silhouette placeholder. Note that this will not delete the full-resolution picture. To delete that, use the file List button to bring up the full list of files attached to this Caregiver.

File management

Caregiver pictures are stored on our servers, just like the rest of the on-line File & Document Storage system. This means you can see them no matter where you are logged in: at home, in the office, on the road, etc. The caregiver photos are treated slightly differently in that 1) you don't have to have Document Storage enabled in order to use it (it's free for all) and 2) uploading a picture ends up creating two pictures (the original and the thumbnail version).

You can see the files in the regular document storage file manager, both for caregivers and in the overall file list.

To see more about File and Document storage in general, go to the Document Storage section.
