Caregiver and Service Skills Setup |
Caregiver Skills Setup To setup each Caregiver's Skills, select the desired Caregiver from the Caregivers List form and click on the Skills button on the Summary tab. Note that the Skills button will show a count of the number of Skills selected. This helps you gauge at a glance whether Skills have been setup or not. This is also true of the Skills button on Service forms.

Figure 102: Skills button on Caregiver form Now that you've reached the Skills for Caregiver form, you can begin clicking the checkboxes of any skills you want to be listed for this caregiver. You can also check entire Categories and Subcategories. When an entire Category is checked there will be a check mark in the corresponding checkbox as usual. When some, but not all of the items in a Category are checked however, there will be a grey square in the Category's checkbox instead of a check mark. Note that some skills have a set of empty brackets next to them. These are skills that have been configured for Care Plan (see Care Plan) and you can reduce the list of Skills to only include these by clicking the Show Only CP Skills [] checkbox. You can also click the Show Only Selected checkbox to display only the skills that have been checked. Once you're satisfied just click Apply, or if you don't want to keep the changes you've made, you can go back to the last point you clicked Apply by clicking Revert. Service Skills Setup For a Service, first go to the Active Client List (from the Clients menu). Then, after selecting the desired client, you can either click the View button to get to their Service form (if they have more than one service you'll have to make sure the correct service is selected first) and from there click the Skills button, or you can click the Care Plan button straight from the Client form. If you choose to click the Care Plan button, note that the Show only Care Plan box will automatically be checked and will have to be unchecked to continue the initial setup (see Care Plan for further details).

As with Caregiver Skills, you can check entire Categories and Subcategories or you can pick and choose individual skills to associate with the Service.
