You can select more than one shift at a time. However, all the Shifts you select must have the same Status (e.g. Assigned, Employee Canceled, etc.). Note that Assigned and Assigned Other are really the same Shift Status, just on different Assignments.
Extending the Selection Once you have selected a Shift, you can extend the selection to include other Shifts. If you hold the Ctrl key down and left-click on a Shift, that Shift will be added to the selection. If you hold the Control key down and right-click on a Shift, that Shift will be added to the selection and the Shift menu for the selected Shifts will be opened. You can also extend the selection by holding down the Shift key before clicking. This extends the selection from the first Shift that was selected through the one you shift-click on. The first Shift you select acts as the “anchor” to the selection; the next Shift you click on acts as the end point of the selection. Note that the system will only select those Shifts that have the same Status and are on the same Assignment as the anchor Shift. Sometimes you may want the selection to include Shifts from all Assignments. For example, if you want to cancel all of a Caregiver’s Assigned Shifts for a week, across all Services. To do this, you can use the ctrl-shift-click option. This will extend the selection from the anchor Shift through the last shift clicked, regardless of what Service it’s for. Dragging the Selection Another powerful way to work with groups of Shifts is to use “drag” selection techniques. To do this, point to a Shift, hold the mouse button down (either left or right), then pull the mouse pointer across the other Shifts you wish to select. As you do this, you will see the top part of the Shifts turn black, indicating that they are selected. When you release the button, the Shifts will remain selected (if you did a right-drag, the Shift Menu will appear as well).
